Did You Know #3: Don’t Make This Mistake!

Did you know that one of the most common mistakes made on an IELTS application is an incorrect or incomplete postal address?

The 2 items most often missing are a house/apartment/unit number and the postal code.

Don’t make this mistake! Be sure your address is complete and correct or you may have to wait several weeks to get your Test Report Form. In addition to a longer wait, it may cost you more money as you may need to pay for a replacement Test Report Form and/or courier delivery.

Canadian Address Format

LINE 1 >>> ADDRESSEE INFORMATION
LINE 2 >>> DELIVERY ADDRESS INFORMATION
LINE 3>>> CITY/TOWN/MUNICIPALITY PROVINCE POSTAL CODE

Example:

MR J DOE
123 MAIN ST APT 5
OTTAWA ON K1S 1B9

Here is a bonus tip: Enter your details using capital letters where required.  For example, Toronto, not toronto. You are preparing for an English test where things like this matter, so practice writing things correctly all of the time so it becomes a habit.
